Daum Peacock Feather vases are very sophisticated because of the difficult techniques used to produce them. Most of the work on the bowl is standard acid-etching, but not the centers of the feathers. The light blue and dark blue glass was applied when the glass was molten, then pressed into the bowl on the marver. The process is called padding, which makes for special vases. I only get one or two Peacock Feather items yearly and they sell very quickly. This example measures 3½" tall x 6¾" diameter. Mint condition.
