Tiffany created this rare vase by applying molten glass to form the chain decoration around the waist of the vase. It's the same decoration as the very rare Diatreta vases, but without the cage. I've never owned another example before. The gold iridescence is quite lovely. The engraved signature underneath reads 5635G L.C.Tiffany-Favrile, dating it to 1912. It's in mint original condition and measures 3¾" tall x 4¼" diameter.
